High School Mandarin Teacher

The Academy of the Pacific Rim is seeking a Mandarin Chinese teacher for an opening beginning in January, and ending 6/30/2008, with a possibility of employment in the 2008-2009 school year. Responsibilities:

* Teach 2 classes of 10th grade Mandarin and 2 classes of 11th grade Mandarin
* Be at school from 7:30-4:15 daily, with faculty meetings until 5:30pm on Wednesdays
* Tutor three times per week in our extended day program

* Collaborate with colleagues and administrators to ensure the success of each student
* Uphold and support all school policies and procedures
* Continue to work to improve their craft

                                      Developer Requirements and Expectations

LEARN NC is currently seeking a developer for the online Mandarin Chinese Level 2 course to be offered in Fall 2008 through the N.C. Virtual Public School. Ideally, this developer could also serve as the instructor of the course, in which case a separate contract would be negotiated.
