STARTALK Teacher Program at University of Nebraska-Lincoln

The dates of the STARTALK Chinese Teacher Institute are July 12-22, 2017 and will be held on the University of Nebraska-Lincoln campus.  All expenses related to the program are covered including housing, meals and supplies. Computers and mini iPads will be provided during the 10-day program for use by the participants.  Participants will be housed in residential suites; each participant will have a private bedroom and share a bathroom with another individual.  In addition, participants will be reimbursed up to $625 to cover travel expenses. 

We will introduce the LinguaFolio, a learning tool designed to enhance student achievement through systematic goal setting. The LinguaFolio contains student-led activities identifying language knowledge, study skills, cultural understanding and proficiency level, and is designed to enhance student self-assessment and analysis of learning.

The application is due April 15, 2017.  A selection committee will review all submissions, and the 15 accepted applicants will be notified via e-mail by May 1
